Horizontal Flat Bag Filters

The FS (reverse air) and FD (compressed air) range of dust collectors with horizontally mounted filter elements supported at both the front and rear of the filter element, providing excellent support and a greater filter cloth area in a reduced equipment foot print.

The filter casing are fabricated in 3mm and 4mm mild steel material, fully welded construction suitable for heavy industrial applications and available in cloth areas up to 2200m2 in one filter casing module.

The dust laden air path is via our down flow principle, with dust entering our crude gas inlet hood and the air path being drawn through the filter from top to bottom assisting in the material flow into the collection hopper. The filter bag frames provide excellent support for the filter bag fabric due to the close aperture of the frame openings ensuring that the fabric does not experience stress points under suction which can lead to wear and fine particle bleed through.

Access to the filter bags is by the main access doors running down the front of the filter. Bags can be changed without any requirement to enter the dirty air side of the filter. Since bag changing can be achieved from the adjacent access platform, there are no confined space implications. These features are particularly important and meet the strict OH&S requirements being applied to modern day installations.
