This application splits the paper in 2 or more separate pieces and is also known as slitting. Both trim waste and paper dust is generated during this process. This application can be found mainly in paper and cardboard industry on corrugator lines for paper and cardboard manufacture. The trim waste is conveyed to a separator cyclone by a trim chopper fan and then separated out of the air stream above a waste compactor. The discharge air and dust if not removed will escape to the working environment around the cutting area causing problems in the production, machines and will settle on the paper which could cause problems in later printing processes later.
The dust collector is normally the reverse air cleaned NFPZ type collector, or pulsejet cleaned FM units have also been used for continuously application for non-continuously operation a AUTO-M is used.
